I have been working behind the scenes – Coach Dramani
Posted on: Thu Aug 02, 2012
Coach Mas-ud Didi Dramani has disclosed that he has been working strenuously behind the scenes to ensure a good pre-season that would propel Kotoko to excellence in the 2012/2013 season, where the Porcupine Warriors are expected to defend the Glo Premier League title and also perform to expectation in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League.
The in-coming Kotoko trainer said he has been liaising well with outgoing Coach Maxwell Konadu. He said he has been instrumental in the recruitment of players for next season, adding that he has designed a comprehensive programme for the pre-season training.
Coach Mas-ud Did Dramani made this disclosure when he met the Kotoko Africa Campaign Committee (KACC) at the Executive Chairman, Dr. K. K. Sarpong’s office in Accra this week. He said fears that he has not been involved in the planning of the club’s pre-season programme which is expected to start soon were groundless. He explained that he has been working on the ground with management, Maxwell Konadu and other technical staff over what needs to be done.
“I have been meeting and speaking with my colleague coach, Maxwell Konadu on numerous things regarding the way forward. I have been instrumental in recruitment. I have been meeting with the Executive Chairman, Dr. Sarpong. Everything has been well-planned. We have come out with a pre-season programme” said Coach Mas-ud Didi Dramani in his briefing.
He revealed that following his meeting with Maxwell Konadu and Dr. K. K. Sarpong, the season was reviewed, after which he requested a report on the performance of the team, detailing the playing record of every player.
“Maxwell Konadu recommended some players for recruitment aside mine. We have been working. I asked for explanations. Everything is fine” said the new coach.
Coach Dramani, who currently handles the national U-17 female team, the Black Maidens gave the assurance that he has come to build on the achievements of the team.
“I have come to “raise the standards to meet high goals” said before presenting copies of his comprehensive pre-season programme to the KACC.
He said he would welcome contributions or suggestions that would help prepare a team for excellence.
Chairman of the KACC, Jerry Asare expressed the committee’s gratitude to the coach for furnishing the committee with his pre-season programme. Jerry Asare hinted Kotoko Express that KACC would immediately study the pre-season programme and come out their plan as well.
