Polack satisfied with performance against Eleven Wonders

Kotoko showed immense character on Sunday to overcome a first half performance many perceived was far from their best to claim maximum points against a determined Techiman Eleven Wonders at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The Brong Ahafo lads enjoyed greater possession in the early stages of the first half of the GHALCA G8 Group-A game but squandered what were to be their two best chances of the day through Salifu Cisse who twice shot wide from close range with only goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim to beat.
Kotoko came into the game halfway into the half, scored through an Obed Owusu spot kick in the 35th minute and couldn’t add to it despite their improved second half performance.
Coach Steven Polack had nothing but praises for his side in his post-match assessment, disclosing that there is much room for improvement.
“They had the better chances in the first half but didn’t put them away," admitted the British trainer. "We kept them at bay at some point and got a penalty which in my opinion was a clear penalty from where I sat. In the second half we played a little bit better with the ball like we should have done in the first half."
“On the overall, I am satisfied with the way we played and of course there is improvement to be made because it’s preseason and these games are great. This is when you find out more about the players and how you can improve them before the season starts." He added.
