Annan not swollen headed by Black Stars link

Felix Annan is happy Ghanaians are calling for his inclusion in the next Black Stars call-up,  but says views that he is ripe for the National Team is a 'call for more hard work to improve himself more.'

The young goalkeeper was fantastic in Kotoko's short stint in the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup and has had the fans calling for his inclusion in coach Kwasi Appiah's next call-up owing to his oustanding performances in the three Premier League games played so far this season.

"This is the time for me to work even harder. I had a good run last season and wanted to keep my consistency this year. I worked really hard to get this good and it's the performance that is making the fans think that I am ripe for the National Team. I have resolved to work even harder to improve and keep that public opinion."

Annan earned Kotoko a point at WAFA with a late-minute save. He also saved three goal-bound shots at home to Inter Allies on match day-two, and stood between Medeama and goal on match day-3 before Kwame Boateng converted referee Nathan Anarful's late-minute controversial penalty to win the game for the hosts.

"I always want to put up my best, and allow the performance and the fans to do the talking for me", said the goalkeeper whose exploits won him the Man of the Match awards in the games against Inter Allies and Medeama.

Annan ruled out any possibility of allowing his stature to get into his head.

"The positive reviews I am getting wouldn't make me complacent", he continued. "I always have the mentality to work hard, give 200 percent at training and in games and be consistent. I would love it anytime I get the call-up and would go and give my best."
