The much talked about revenge against Great Olympics on Sunday didn’t materialise as the Porcupines were held by visiting team in the 2016/17 Premier League, match day 17 fixture at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Kotoko were bent on avenging the 2-0 defeat handed them by Great Olympics in the first-round encounter in Accra but the Porcupines, eventually had to fight for an equaliser and settle for a draw after David Ageordome put the visitors ahead in the 47th minute.

David Ageordome connected home a fine cross from Kwame Boateng to put Kotoko supporters on the edge of their seats just two minutes after recess. Kotoko, who attacked well throughout the first half but couldn’t score, continued their search for a goal and the equaliser which came in the 67th minute when substitute striker, Saddick Adams neatly converted a penalty.

Sunday’s draw meant that, Kotoko Porcupines haven’t won at home since beating WAFA 1-0 in Kumasi on March 15, 2017. The draw also left the Porcupines at 5th position with 25 points on the league table with their next game being away to Aduana Stars on Sunday, June 11, 2017.

Full match report follows soon.
